WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING TO MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN??

Update: 09/14/2009
We've been busy bees these past few months, keeping up with our packed practice and gig schedule after a very successful tour to the Midwest the whole month of July. We were bummed we couldn't get our bus converted to run on Waste Veggie Oil in time for this trip, but it would have been a crazy rush to install it in time for our already-booked tour... we were advised to wait until after the tour to convert - it would've been unwise to rush something like this, and a bad idea to make serious changes to the internal workings of the bus before leaving on such a long and far away journey. BUT, since we've been back we met a fine fellow who is helping us to prepare the bus and plan for our veggie system. If we had oodles of moolah we'd head to VegRev in Oakland and buy their top-notch conversion kit. However, we don't and so we're now researching the most cost effective way to convert the bus, and shopping for kits and parts. This is a much longer process than we thought it would be!! Our next big tour is planned for February 2010, so that's become our new ultimate deadline for Bussie to become fully Veg'd-out. Donations to this project will help speed up the process!
High on our priority list is getting XtraCycles, because bike touring is where we ultimately want to be... and we're confident that the quicker we jump on our bikes, the quicker our ultimate vision of being a bike touring band will manifest!

PAST FUNDRAISING EFFORTS:

SAVE THE DINOS TOUR to the Midwest - JULY 2009  RAISED approx. $1200
Thanks to everyone who bought our CDs and came to the 23 or so shows of our fantastic "Save the Dinos" Tour to the midwest. We would've raised a whole lot more if diesel hadn't been top on the list of tour expenses. We look forward to scavenging for Waste Vegetable Oil instead!!

POST PEAK OIL ROCK FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN - MAY 2009  RAISED $1200
Thanks to the generous donations by our family, friends and complete strangers, we raised $1200 in the first month of campaigning for donations.

I LIKE MY BIKE NIGHT - I LIKE MY BIKE NIGHT CONCERT - AUGUT 7, 2009  RAISED $500
Our 2nd appearance at Ashkenaz's "I Like My Bike Night," a monthly bicycle celebration & music concert at Berkeley's world music & dance community center.

ANTIOQUIA VEGGIE TOUR - MAY 14-19, 2009  RAISED $200
The first Chico Bicycle Music Festival will take place on May 16th 2009. Antioquia will be touring with The Ginger Ninjas from Berkeley to Chico for this event, as well as playing shows in North San Juan and Nevada City, to promote pedal power and raise money for the project.
Stay tuned at our MySpace page, where all our shows are listed.

I LIKE MY BIKE NIGHT - FUNDRAISER CONCERT - MAY 1, 2009  RAISED $400
A fundraiser concert for our project will take place on the first day of National Bike Month at Ashkenaz Music and Dance Community Center in Berkeley on May 1st 2009. In addition to raising a projected $6000 for our project***, this will be
Ashkenaz's inaugural "I Like My Bike Night," an ongoing opportunity for the Bay Area bicycle and resident community and supportive organizations to come together on the first Friday of every month and network amidst an unbridled dance orgy!!  ***It POURED down rain... torrential! It was a fun concert but bad news for our goal of $6000.
